Flower

So, I got the downloadable game Flower on PSN today (technically yesterday, but oh well.) and I've made it to the fifth level.
And it was at the end of level 4, maybe the beginning of level 5 where the developers seemed to forget who/what the protagonist is. In this game, the protagonist is not the flower petal that comes from the first flower you bloom in a given level. No, the flower petal(s) is a point of reference, something to give you an idea of where you are in the environment. No. In this game, the protagonist is the wind. You bloom flowers to revitalize the environment or something. The game isn't too plot heavy. What this game does have is unique gameplay and an excellent musical score. The gameplay is unique in that you effectively have two buttons: the controller and any one given button of your choice. You tilt the controller to turn, and press (for example) X to make you go. The music is very ambiatic, the control scheme is fun, and the graphics are great.
Returning to my initial point, in level 4 or 5, objects that can hurt you appear. Now, remember my point that I made about playing as the wind? This is why I am mad. You are playing as the wind. You can't hurt the friggin' wind! But in the next level, you can destroy what hurt you in level 5, so it's all good. My scores for Flower are:
Gameplay
8/10 - Unique, innovative, and atmospheric.
Music
9/10 - Brilliantly composed and well executed. This is music I'd probably put on my iPod and listen to frequently.
Plot
7/10 - There really isn't one, but the underlying message is much deeper in that it could be one referring to how humans destroy the planet, the greatness of nature, or something else. It's quite genius, if I do say so myself.
Overall
8/10 - This is a game I'd recommend to people, be they casual or hardcore. It's the perfect sort of game to wind down with, and is a great experience. If you own a PS3, check out the demo for this game. If you don't like it, you can always delete it and not buy the full version.
